The most important rule in taking care of cichlid is the compatibility. Do not Mix cichlids with anything that is not a cichlid, such as tetras or guppies. Cichlids are very aggressive fish and most likely within a week, they will beat or kill anything you have put in the same area. Overcrowded is not recommended for cichlids because if you want to enjoy your fish and allow them to develop their personalities and behaviors they should not in crowded area. Sometimes it works when cichlids are mixed in an aquarium but sometimes it’s not. Do not mixed baby cichlids with adult cichlids because babies are a live meal to adults. Wait until 3 inches or longer before putting them to an adult tank.
